Ordered 2 of this product as this is the first time I have needed to replace the battery cover, and am sure if I need to do so again, it would not be for a number of years. I sought out this replacement as the camera was not turning on. I learned that the battery cover has a sensor that when closed, allows the camera to turn on. Interesting to think that not having this simple part can stop the camera from functioning! It snapped on perfectly and blends in well with the camera look. It has a shiny-ish finish to it. I am content with this investment.
