I previously had a Nikon D5100 that you could release the shutter with a cheap $20 remote. Also with my previous setup I had some Yongnuo flash triggers. Recently found out that they can also be used for a shutter release but would need an interface cable. I needed a shutter release for my new D850 but the Nikon release would end up being around $500 or so. This $10 cable paired with my Yongnuo triggers saved me TONS of time and very easy to setup.
