I just received these, but I thought I would write an initial impression review, and update after I have worn them out hunting. First impression: Nice. The exterior material seems sturdy and has somewhat of a slippery texture to it (which should repel most burs). I would call these medium/lightweight chaps. They are not heavy-duty chaps, but that is not what I was looking for, so these should do just fine. The zipper seems pretty heavy duty and should last. I think I might have to lube it up a bit, as the zipper is a bit stiff right out of the package. I like the fact they have a waterproof liner, which will keep water off my jeans, when walking through morning dew or rain-drenched undergrowth. The only thing that concerns me is the plastic clasp on the belt loop. They seem a little thin and might snap/break in cold weather (as I do some colder weather hunting in the fall). I will update this review once I have hit the field a few times with them. Anyway, overall, a very nice set of chaps for upland hunting. Looking forward to getting out in the woods and trying them out. [...]
