This top is my first soft top. Always ran a hard top, mostly because they’re quieter. Every soft top Jeep I’d ever been in was really noisy…flapping, popping, WIND noise! The only time I liked the soft top was when the windows were all out or the top was completely down. When I saw the new twill top on a friend’s Jeep, it looked so good I decided I’d get it. I read a ton of reviews and pulled the trigger. Bestop has the best customer service I’ve ever received from ANY supplier. My new top, bows etc, all hardware, came reasonably quick and complete. It fit really well, except the header bar and driver side window. The window relaxed a bit, but it still was too tight. I called Bestop and sent pics. They shipped a new header bar within the week. The new bar was better, but still had a gap on the passenger side. I called again and together we decided to give it a few more weeks. I live in AZ, it was April/May time frame. 85-100 temps, so it was definitely warm enough to “stretch”. The gap never improved, even after clamping it down and letting it sit for 3 days in over 100 degs. SOOOO…I called again. No hesitation what so ever from Bestop. “You shouldn’t be having these issues with an over $1600 top. We’re sending you a complete new top, bows and hardware. You may keep the top you have.” I was totally shocked. (no reboxing and paying for shipping the 1st top back) I got the new top in about a week or so. The header bar was MUCH better and now has “relaxed” to where it should be. No leaks anywhere when washing vehicle. It finally rained here and of course, I went for a drive on the highway to see if it leaked. No leaks! The windows fit much better with minimal stretching when pulling on the zipper. The only issue I had with this top was the plastic “stiffeners” for the back corners. My first top fit perfectly for the stiffeners, this one I had to just slightly trim them to get them to fit. It still doesn’t fit in to the tailgate bar as good as the first top did, but it’s getting better. I know it seems like I’m being pretty picky, but I spent a LOT of $$$ for this top, So I expected it to be as good as possible. Overall, I like the top a lot. It’s a soft top, so it’s still NOISY. Never going to be as quiet as my hardtop. I love the look of it. Very few “wrinkles” and it’s WAY easier to clean than my Miata fabric top. My Jeep isn’t pretty, but people always comment on how nice the top looks.(top definitely out classes the rest of the Jeep) I would highly recommend Bestop customer service. The BEST I have ever received from any supplier!
