As an equestrian, when it comes to rain gear I can ride in, I look to the iron horse riders for ideas to keep me dry and comfortable to ride miles and miles in.I picked these up to keep in the trailer as the price was right, they looked comfortable and were in two pieces in case I didn’t need the pants, or vice versa! There is a bit of a smell when you take them out of the carry bag, but give it about 24 hours. The pants do NOT have pockets (which is great in my opinion; pockets are just a failure point and I can’t stand rain running down my legs or making me wet!), just in case you were wondering. The pant legs have 3 velcro “settings” to go around your boots/shoes to try and keep them tight. I wish it wasn’t velcro, but maybe snap buttons or something more durable than velcro since mud seems to tear up velcro and ruin it’s usefulness (okay, so does horse hair!).The top has a vented back and a pocket at the front to make it easy to store your phone, gloves, etc.Overall, these SHOULD work for me and what I’m using them for. I ALMOST used them over the weekend, but the rain ended before I got in the saddle, so I skipped putting them on. [...]
